Travertine tile cleaning in Upton grey Hampshire

Buckland Stonecare was recently commissioned to restore a magnificent large open-plan travertine kitchen and dining floor in Upton Grey, Hampshire.

Over years of busy family use, the original factory resin filler had broken away from several surface voids, leaving pitted holes that collected dark grime. In addition, foot traffic had produced dull walkways and light scratches across the stone face.

We commenced with a thorough deep extraction clean using pH-balanced stone cleaners and rotary brushes. All newly exposed cavities and pits were meticulously cleaned, dried, and filled with colour-matched stone filler flush with the surface.

Following curing, we mechanically honed the tiles using progressive diamond resin pads to remove traffic scratching and create an elegant, smooth satin finish. The entire floor was then sealed with multiple coats of premium breathable impregnating sealer.
